EASIER THAN BOILING POTATOES

Anyone who has never tried or at least heard of brigadeiros, certainly are living a wrong life! It is one of the most famous sweets on our planet, and although it was originally a sweet made from condensed milk and cocoa powder, there are currently 1001 versions and flavors of this traditional Brazilian sweet.

It is one of those recipes that, however as much it is reinvented, it always be quite simple to execute. Whether you like a brigadeiro with a firmer consistency, or you prefer to eat it with a spoon, the recipe can be made by anyone, even those who don’t even know how to boil potatoes. Yes, it’s easier than boiling potatoes, believe me!

To not defraud expectations, a brigadiero has to be sweet, reeeeeealy sweet, and needs to have a consistency that melts in the mouth, a smooth consistency that floods every taste bud. Of course there are tastes for everything, but the traditional is for sweet tooth!

A complete brigadeiro is a brigadeiro with topping, which traditionally is that typical chocolate sprinkles, but it can be anything else that you prefer, as long as it gives extra texture to the sweet.

In this recipe that I share with you, the flavor chosen for the brigadeiro was hazelnut with chocolate. (do you know a person more passionate about this combination than me?) In addition to the condensed milk (vegan of course) I added another “ingredient” that did everything for this recipe! Bett´r’s Hazelnut Cocoa Spread. A 100% organic spread made of hazelnuts, coconut sugar, coconut oil, cocoa butter, cocoa powder and coconut flour. This spread is delicious even to eat by spoon directly from the jar, now imagine in a shape and texture of a brigadeiro!

THIS RECIPE IS:

SUPER EASY | NOT LIGHT | QUICK | GLUTEN FREE | TO CELEBRATE OR DROWN THE WOUNDS | APPROVED BY KIDS AND ADULTS

Recipe? I’m not even sure if I should call it a recipe, such is the simplicity of it, but it´s still a recipe.

Made only with 3 ingredients, the secret is to put everything in a small non-stick pan, bring to medium heat and stir, stir, stir until it thickens.

Then just wait for it to cool down so you can shape the little balls, or not, just simply take a spoon and start eating right away.

This recipe is really cool to complete a party table and make sure everyone leaves with a smile on their faces and licking their lips!
